A beautiful antique Tibetan offering bowl crafted from richly figured burlwood and fitted with hand-worked silver mounts. The bowl features a broad flared silver rim and an ornate silver pedestal foot decorated with repeating beadwork and stylized motifs characteristic of traditional Himalayan metalwork.
The burlwood displays exceptional natural figuring with dramatic amber, honey, and deep brown tones that shimmer across the surface. The contrast between the highly figured wood and aged silver creates an elegant presentation, while the classic pedestal form reflects the traditional aesthetic of Tibetan ceremonial and domestic vessels.
Both decorative and functional, bowls of this type were prized throughout Tibet and the Himalayan region for their craftsmanship and beauty. This example is especially attractive for its richly patterned wood and well-preserved silver mount.
