A handsome antique Tibetan offering bowl crafted from beautifully figured burlwood and fitted with a hand-worked silver rim. The bowl features a classic flared profile rising from a pedestal foot, creating a refined silhouette characteristic of traditional Himalayan vessels.
The burlwood displays rich reddish-brown coloration with attractive natural figuring and subtle knot formations throughout. The broad silver rim provides a striking contrast to the warm tones of the wood while enhancing the bowl's elegant presentation.
Examples such as this were used as household, ceremonial, or offering vessels and remain highly desirable among collectors of Tibetan, Himalayan, and ethnographic art. The simplicity of the silver mount allows the beauty of the wood grain to take center stage.
