A finely crafted antique Tibetan offering bowl made from beautifully figured burlwood and adorned with hand-worked silver mounts. The bowl features a broad flared silver rim and an exceptionally elaborate silver pedestal foot decorated with repoussé scrollwork, geometric motifs, beaded borders, and traditional Tibetan-inspired designs.
The burlwood exhibits attractive natural figuring in warm honey, amber, and chestnut tones, creating a striking contrast with the aged silver. The highly decorative foot displays superior craftsmanship and adds substantial visual interest, distinguishing this piece from simpler examples.
Bowls of this form were used throughout Tibet and the Himalayan region for ceremonial offerings, household display, and religious purposes. The combination of fine burlwood and intricate silverwork makes this an especially desirable collector's piece.
