A striking antique Tibetan offering bowl crafted from beautifully figured burlwood and enhanced with finely executed silver mounts. The bowl features a broad flared silver rim and an ornate pedestal foot decorated with repoussé scrollwork, beaded borders, and traditional Himalayan decorative motifs.
The burlwood displays exceptional swirling grain patterns in warm golden, amber, and honey-brown tones, creating a dramatic contrast against the aged silver. The elaborate pedestal mount adds visual richness while showcasing the skill of the artisan who fashioned the piece.
Offering bowls of this type were used throughout Tibet and the Himalayan region for ceremonial offerings, household shrines, and decorative display. The combination of richly figured burlwood and intricate silverwork makes this an especially desirable example for collectors of Tibetan and Himalayan art.
