An antique Bhutanese betel nut silver gilt box measuring 5-1/4” X 3-1/4” x1-1/2” and weighing 252 grams. The gilt work on the silver box has worn off and only traces of it can be seen which suggests that this box has been used heavily. In otherwise perfect condition.
The decorations at front consisted of a circular medallion in the center with the Dharma wheel jn the middle flanked by a pair of dragons, the consolidated 8 lucky signs at the top and offerings at the bottom. The medallion is enveloped in a border with etched details of conch shells at the four corners.
