An early 20th C. Tibetan antique carpet with floral patterns and made in wool. The hot pink color used in rug became very popular in the turn of the century when chemical dyes from Europe hit the Asian -Indian markets. This rug with its predominantly black background was made for and used by the aristocracy and generally rarely seen in the commercial arena. The rug measures 32”x61”
