An antique late 19th C., early20th C., Tibetan all wool rug [pile, weft and warp] with a simple checkerboard design of alternating tan and deep red squares
Variation in the color of the rug is due to the dyeing process of the wool - sections of the rug had color bleeding that has occurred over the years from the red into the tan color.
