Ghaus were traditionally worn by Tibetan travelers, pilgrims, and practitioners as portable shrines designed to house sacred images, prayers, relics, or protective amulets.

This finely executed example features a circular form with multiple concentric bands of repoussé ornamentation. Delicately rendered floral and foliate motifs radiate around the central shrine opening, showcasing the skill and artistry of the silversmith.
